This is a community by lovers of middle earth, for lovers of middle earth. I strongly suggest you've read all of the LOTR books, or are not sensitive to spoilers.

You may post about anything regarding LOTR, actors involved in the movies, Middle Earth, or Tolkien. News updates, quotes from the movies or books, interviews, icons you've made, pictures you've drawn, websites you love. Whatever you wish.
You may post icon requests and questions regarding icons, seeing as how both I and a few members make icons.
There are just two rules:
1. Do not harrass other members. So you're opinions differ, so what? We all share common ground- we love Tolkien's work. You should be able to work out problems peacefully. At the first sign of disrespect, you're out of the community.
2. Cut-tag large pictures, or multiple pictures. If you need to know how to cut tag, visit this FAQ for help.

Also, PLEASE UNDERSTAND. There will be no such thing as "spoilers" in this community. It is assumed you have either seen or read all of LOTR, and you are not asked to cut tag or warn of pictures/opinions regarding ROTK. If its a problem, do not join. Thanks!
Goodbye Middle Earth!

Frodo: I can't do this Sam.
Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.

Middle Earth!
PLEASE Do Not Hotlink! It makes my whole account freeze!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then the world behind and home ahead,
We'll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!
